Q: Why choose LoveBug & Me?
There are 3 main reasons that our families come back to LoveBug & Me time and again. One, we play real instruments and don’t rely on pre-recorded CDs. Two, we have special themes each session to keep things interesting and fresh. Three, our Magical Music Educators really care and put their hearts into each class, recognizing your little ones’ special qualities. We could go on and on, but don’t listen to us, check out our Yelp reviews.
Q: What should I expect in music class?
Each class is full of singing, dancing, instrument playing, puppets, creative movement, learning and fun! Every week there is a special activity such as scarf dancing, parachute play and some surprises. Songs are a mixture of traditional favorites, original LoveBug & Me music and some popular songs that grown-ups like.
Q: How old should my child be to start classes?
We welcome newborns to age 4 years. The smallest of babies can benefit from the enhanced brain development, socialization, listening, motor skills and bonding that our music classes provide. Young children are drawn to rhythms reminding them of their mother’s heartbeat.
Q: What do I need to bring to class?
Just yourself and your little one and prepare to have fun!
Q: Do you offer makeup classes?
Absolutely! We have a very lenient makeup policy. You can make up as many classes as you need to as long as (1) they are within the same series and (2) there is space in the class that you wish to attend as a make up.
Q: Is it possible to receive a refund?
We offer refunds in full up to 2 weeks prior to the series start date. After that date, we cannot offer refunds or credits toward future series. The reason for this is that we reserve a space for your family once you have enrolled and it can be difficult to find a replacement so close to the series start date or beyond.
Q: Do you clean the instruments?
YES! We clean ALL of the instruments in between each class rather than only the ones that have gotten wet. We use a non-toxic formula called Baby Bits.
Q: My child is very active, will this be distracting?
We have had so many LoveBugs take their first steps in our classes! We encourage kids to be kids. The only rule is to stay safe. If you find that your child is aggressive towards others in class or becomes upset, we recommend stepping outside of class for a few minutes until they are feeling better.
Q: Why would I want a mixed-age class for my child?
Our classes are developmentally appropriate, allowing every child to approach the activity at their own pace and progress to the next stage of music development on their own timetable. In addition, mixed-age classes provide children with the opportunity to interact with groups of different ages, to be models for younger children and have older children, parents and teachers model for them.
Q: What is your sick policy?
We all want our little lovebugs to stay safe and healthy. Here are some things to note if you are trying to decide whether to attend class or stay home. If you or your child has a runny nose, fever within 24 hours, cough or any other illness, please stay home and rest instead of coming to class. We clean our instruments in between each class to ensure they are germ free. We recommend that you wash or wipe your hands when you arrive in class and wash your hands when you leave. Hand washing has been proven to reduce the spread of germs.
Q: Do you perform for birthday parties and private events?
Yes, our Magical Music Educators are available to celebrate your child’s special day! Whether you are having your party at your home or any other location, we can come to you. For more information, contact email@example.com or fill out the event form.
